Pegasus Couriers pledge support to Mission Christmas
With only four weeks to go until Christmas, Pegasus Couriers is delighted to announce they are sponsoring the hugely popular Cash for Kids to help provide Christmas gifts to children in the area.
The campaign was launched on November 15 and aims to provide disadvantaged children with presents for Christmas.
Pegasus Couriers Director Martin Smith said: “In the build-up to Christmas last year, we delivered around 42 000 parcels a day, totalling more than 300 000 a month. Christmas is our busiest time of year. We wanted to help deliver Christmas for families who need help at this time of year. This is why we have pledged our support.”
The Edinburgh based courier company operates in 13 locations across the United Kingdom, with six in Scotland alone.
Smith added: “In addition to the donation, our team are fundraising and volunteering in the Cash for Kids Headquarters.”
Cash for Kids Charity Manager Victoria Hendry said that the donation would help supply several children with more than one gift each.
“Mission Christmas is in full swing. We are grateful for all donations and will be using them to bring some much-needed cheer to those in need,” she said.
In Scotland, last year, the charity raised over £250,000 and assisted more than 15 000 children.
The campaign will run until December 23.
