Courier Driver Jobs in Coleraine Earn £171 to £191 Per Day Delivering Parcels

We are recruiting self-employed courier drivers for parcel delivery routes across Coleraine, Ballymoney and the North Coast.

Pegasus Couriers pays £171 per day for a completed route. Drivers who meet the required service standards can earn up to £20 in additional bonuses.  We make payments weekly by BACS and have a on site support manager to assist you.

The company provides approved drivers with the equipment and training needed to complete each route, including access to a delivery van, authorised route fuel, GPS route-planning technology and parcel-scanning equipment.

What the Role Involves

We assign organised multi-drop routes based on daily parcel volumes and operational demand.

Drivers collect, scan and deliver parcels to homes and businesses across Coleraine and surrounding areas. Route locations can include Ballymoney, Castleroe, Articlave, Macosquin, Dunaghy, Ballyrashane and Ballybogey.

Each driver is responsible for:

  • Following the assigned GPS route
  • Scanning parcels before delivery
  • Recording completed and failed delivery attempts
  • Providing electronic proof of delivery
  • Handling parcels safely
  • Completing daily vehicle checks
  • Reporting route or delivery issues
  • Communicating professionally with customers

Pegasus Couriers uses route-planning and parcel-scanning systems to organise deliveries and record route performance.

Vehicle and Fuel

Our fleet vans are allocated to approved drivers when vehicles are available and insurance requirements are met.

The company provides a fuel card for authorised delivery mileage. The fuel card does not cover personal travel or unauthorised journeys.

Some drivers can keep an allocated van at home and travel home after completing the route. Pegasus Couriers approves take-home arrangements according to the driver’s location, route allocation, insurance status and vehicle-security requirements.

Drivers can also use their own van when the vehicle meets the required insurance, safety and operational standards.

Training and Support

Previous courier experience is not required.

We provides onboarding, delivery-system training and lower-volume nursery routes for suitable new drivers.

Training covers:

  • Parcel scanning
  • GPS navigation
  • Electronic proof of delivery
  • Failed-delivery procedures
  • Safe parcel handling
  • Multi-drop time management
  • Customer service
  • Daily vehicle checks

Our system increases route responsibility as a driver gains experience and demonstrates reliable performance.

Self-Employed Contractor Status

We offers this role on a self-employed contractor basis.

Each driver is responsible for personal tax, National Insurance, VAT obligations where applicable, accounting records and other self-employed responsibilities.

Applicants should obtain independent tax or accounting advice when required.

Route availability can change according to parcel volumes, seasonal demand and operational requirements.

Driver Requirements

If you meet our requirements, we would like to hear from you.

All applicants must:

  • Be at least 21 years old
  • Hold a valid driving licence

  • Use a smartphone or handheld scanner
  • Drive safely on urban and rural roads
  • Work independently
  • Follow parcel-handling procedures
  • Complete deliveries accurately
  • Pass licence, eligibility and insurance checks
  • Complete the required onboarding process

At least one year of driving experience is preferred.

Pegasus Couriers prefers applicants with a clean driving licence. The company can consider drivers with up to six minor penalty points, depending on the offence, driving history and insurance requirements.

Drivers should be available for up to six delivery days per week, depending on route demand.
